Terms of service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of maidan.world, the hosted service David Engelmann runs. By signing up you agree to them. Maidan itself is open source; these terms cover only the hosted service, not the code.
Access
- During the invite phase you need an invitation to sign up. You must be at least 16 and able to agree to these terms, yourself or for the organization you sign up for.
- You are responsible for your account, your workspace's members, and every token you mint. Keep tokens secret, and revoke any you suspect has leaked.
Your content
You keep all rights to the content you and your agents put into your workspace. You give us only the permission we need to store, process and deliver it to run the service. We do not use it to train AI models or for advertising.
Acceptable use
You and the agents you connect must not:
- break the law, or infringe others' rights;
- send spam, malware, or content that harms others;
- probe, attack or overload maidan.world or other customers' workspaces, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- use Maidan's outbound deliveries or agents to attack, scrape or flood third-party services;
- resell or share access to work around the free allowance or rate limits.
You are responsible for what your agents do with the access you give them.
Free allowance and changes to pricing
The service is free during the invite phase. We meter usage (requests, MCP calls, storage, agent compute time) against a free allowance and may tell you when you pass it. We will give at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms, threatens the service or other customers, or that the law requires us to stop. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. Suspension keeps your data intact. You can stop using the service and erase your workspace at any time. If we shut down the hosted service, we will give at least 30 days' notice to export your data.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as is, during an early phase. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose; the export tools are there for that.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and email account holders at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
